LIGA, and conservation charity, ZSL have teamed up to create an adventurous homeware collection. Featuring a vibrant display of elephants, penguins and giraffes cleverly designed onto an array of products, all using eco-friendly materials; including organic cork, organic cotton, and stoneware ceramics. An exciting and innovative range, crafted into beautifully designed pieces, and helping to raise awareness and funds for vital conservation work.

LIGA is a family-run business, born in 2018 in Cornwall, and has since been creating beautiful things out of sustainable materials. The team is surrounded by gorgeous landscapes, sea and wildlife, and the brand is inherently connected to nature; from the eco-friendly materials we use, to the stories behind our collections. Liga captures the essence of the natural world and brings this beauty into people’s homes.
We are proud that LIGA has found its way into homes across the world. What began as a small family business in Cornwall, has grown into a global community of eco-conscious customers. ZSL
ZSL is a science-driven conservation charity working to restore wildlife in the UK
and around the world. They work to help wildlife and people thrive together. Founded in 1826, ZSL are now working for wildlife in more than 50 countries worldwide. They lead conservation, shape agendas and influence change to protect and restore nature; committed to protecting species, restoring habitats, training conservationists and creating change for nature.
The ZSL of today is very different from the ZSL of 1826, which is a testament to their forward-thinking approach to the evolving fields of science and conservation. But they’ve always stayed true to their founding mission: ‘the general advancement of zoological science’. In 2026, they’ll celebrate 200 years of landmark moments in conservation and culture that connect us all.

It’s a natural collaboration. We passionate about nurturing the natural world that inspires them, so we live in harmony together. And so, we want to help raise awareness about the integral work ZSL do and inspire others to support it too.
Adventurous Homeware
Organic cork is one of LIGA’s core and foundation materials, a sustainable and regenerative resource harvested by hand every nine years. This is the simple beautiful material used for the placemats, coasters, memo boards, trivets and trays in this new collection.
Over time, LIGA’s selection of exciting sustainable materials has expanded to include more visionary and planet-friendly choices. The tea towels use organic cotton, using a process that nurtures the soil health, and naturally uses 91% less water than traditional cotton farming. The dishcloths use up-cycled cotton fibres that are too short for the textile industry, saving waste fabric. While the mugs are crafted using stoneware ceramics, a clay that is a renewable resource naturally found within the earth, and requires a lower firing temperature.
All these amazing materials have striking printed designs, inspired by the animals that live with their heads in the trees and those that swim in the seas. Elephants, penguins and giraffes take centre-stage in this standout collection. Three heroes, three conservation stories, eight pieces, one beautiful way to protect the wild.
Endangered Species
ZSL have created shared spaces of wonder and conservation through their two iconic zoos, and has led the way in conservation through their Institute of Zoology and brought species back from the brink of extinction.
To honour the fantastic work ZSL has achieved, We are planning to launch an additional collection featuring twelve endangered species. ZSL are working hard to protect these animals, and so LIGA has created individual coasters for each of them, paired with a QR code that will take you to a heart-warming story, and how ZSL are saving them.
Every animal is unique, with a story worth knowing and this is a perfect way to arouse curiosity and raise awareness through simple eco cork coasters.
